چکیده

Relevance A common mechanism of resistance is the synthesis enzymes that inactivate antibiotic (AB). Since its discovery at end 20th century, ESBLs have spread widely throughout world. Representatives this group complex protein compounds properties hydrolysis ß-lactam antibiotics and differ from each other in amino acid sequence. The genetic determinants determine their are bla-CTX-M, bla-SHV, bla-TEM genes. Aims. To assess prevalence genes antibiotic-resistant strains enterobacteria isolated samples patients perinatal center. Materials & Methods . We studied 135 ESBL-producing during microbiological monitoring January 01, 2020 to December 31, 2021. Biological material (feces (92), blood (1), urine (5), cervical canal discharge (33), last (4)) came center (43 women 92 newborns), examined both for clinical indications local monitoring. Species identification microorganisms was carried out by bacteriological method, detection using real-time PCR Results In 87 cases (64.4%), were successfully identified. Of 26 Klebsiella pneumonia, 24 (92.3%) able establish AB, 50% which represented bla-CTX-M. Out 66 Escherichia coli, 59 (89.33%) had a profile resistance, also dominated bla-CTX-M (67.80%). However, Enterobacter cloacae group, it possible presence only 8.10% cases. K. pneumoniae carrying three once sample woman aged 27 years. E. coli CTX-M gene 3 mother-child pairs cases: mothers – third trimester pregnancy, newborns feces first week life, can indicate transmission an AB-resistant microorganism either utero or through birth canal. Conclusions Thus, course study, identified 64.4% dominant leading occurrence AD among ESBL gene. number with established AB less (p<0.001). order study more detail identify mechanisms formation necessary expand observed

High prevalence of bla(CTX-M) extended spectrum beta-lactamase genes in Klebsiella pneumoniae isolates from a tertiary care hospital: first report of bla(SHV-12), bla(SHV-31), bla(SHV-38), and bla(CTX-M-15) in Brazil.

The aim of this study was to investigate the presence and prevalence of bla(TEM), bla(SHV), and bla(CTX-M) and bla(GES)-like genes, responsible for extended spectrum beta-lactamases (ESBLs) production in clinical isolates of Klebsiella pneumoniae collected from a Brazilian tertiary care hospital. Sixty-five ESBL producing K. pneumoniae isolates, collected between 2005 and 2007, were screened by...

conclusions considering the high prevalence of esbl genes (bla ctx-m, 87%; and bla tem, 82%), fluoroquinolones may be used as an alternative drug in treatment, although resistance to this family is increasing as well. as a result, this increasing trend should be prevented using appropriate guidelines for prescription. background escherichia coli is the most important as well as the most common ...

Multiplex PCR for bla(CTX-M) & bla(SHV) in the extended spectrum beta lactamase (ESBL) producing gram-negative isolates.

BACKGROUND & OBJECTIVE Phenotyping is commonly used for detection of extended spectrum beta lactamase (ESBL) production in gram-negative isolates. ESBLs are mainly coded for by three important genes, namely bla(TEM), bla(SHV) and bla(CTX-M). In this study we used a multiplex PCR as a rapid method to identify two common genes (bla(CTX-M) & bla(SHV)) responsible for extended spectrum beta lactama...

Spread of bla(CTX-M-type) and bla(PER-2) beta-lactamase genes in clinical isolates from Bolivian hospitals.

OBJECTIVES To assess the prevalence and types of genes encoding extended-spectrum beta-lactamases (ESBLs) in clinical isolates of Enterobacteriaceae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Acinetobacter spp. from Bolivia. METHODS A total of 642 clinical isolates were collected consecutively during a 4 month period (September to December 2004). Resistance or reduced susceptibility to cefotaxime and/or cef...
